Naturopath Alderley
A Root Cause Focused Natural Health Clinic by an Accredited Alderley Naturopath
Do you often feel run-down, unwell, or trapped in recurring symptoms with no clear explanation or solution? Perhaps you’ve explored multiple treatments without improvement or been told there’s nothing more to do. It doesn’t have to be that way, and a Brisbane naturopath may be able to help.
Rather than simply managing symptoms, Guided By Tradition helps you discover and address the underlying factors affecting your well-being. We use thorough assessments, targeted functional tests, and customised natural treatment plans to help restore balance and long-term health.
Understanding the Root Cause Approach
Think of a moment when you find water seeping from your ceiling into the living room. You rush to grab a bucket and mop, trying to keep the floor dry.
It’s only a short-term fix: once it rains again, the leak starts up and the situation can deteriorate further.
Now imagine instead that you climb up to the roof, find the issue, and repair it. The leak stops for good, and you no longer need the bucket or mop. Now, picture yourself climbing onto the roof, locating the source of the problem, and fixing it properly. The leak disappears for good, and there’s no more need for buckets or mops.
This is the root cause approach.
How We Help You
We use a holistic approach that blends nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle adjustments to encourage your body’s natural healing and bring your health back into balance.

Acne, eczema and other skin concerns are not only surface-level problems, they can reflect deeper imbalances linked to inflammation, hormone issues, immune health, or nutrition. Through naturopathic care, we uncover these underlying factors and support skin repair with nutritional, herbal and lifestyle guidance.

The health of your hormones can affect your mental and physical health, including energy, mood, and overall well-being. Natural medicine can help to identify and correct hormonal imbalances that contribute to thyroid conditions, adrenal fatigue, fibromyalgia, and more. Treatment may involve nutritional and herbal support, lifestyle adjustments, and strategies to improve energy, mood, metabolism, and overall endocrine health.

Whether you’re managing PCOS, endometriosis, fertility issues, pregnancy, or menopause, women’s health concerns can be multifaceted and evolve over time. Our naturopathic approach focuses on balancing hormones, easing symptoms and supporting long-term well-being through personalised care.

Your gut health affects every part of your body, from digestion and energy levels to skin and hormonal balance. Naturopathic treatment seeks to resolve the root causes of poor gut function using a combination of dietary changes, targeted supplements, and personalised lifestyle strategies.

Mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and OCD may be linked to nutrition, gut health, and stress responses. Our naturopathic approach looks beneath the surface, using holistic strategies to enhance calmness, focus, and emotional well-being.

Naturopathic medicine supports many health issues, from fatigue, migraines, and allergies to children’s development and well-being. Instead of generic treatment, it focuses on identifying the multiple underlying factors that affect health and restoring the body’s natural balance.

Optimal Pathology Interpretation
Have your blood tests come back ‘normal’, yet you still don’t feel your best? Conventional pathology ranges reflect averages across the population, not what’s ideal for you personally. We assess your results in context, considering age, lifestyle, and health history, to identify your optimal levels and areas needing support.
Functional Testing
Our clinic provides advanced functional testing, including gut microbiome mapping, DUTCH hormone analysis, adrenal assessments, heavy metal and mineral testing, and EndoMAP, to understand your body’s unique biochemistry and design a tailored health plan.
Why Choose Us?
Qualified Naturopath
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) from the Australasian College of Natural Medicine and has completed additional studies in mental health and skin care. Her approach is driven by a genuine passion for identifying and addressing the root causes of illness.
Comprehensive Assessment
Every treatment plan is based on thorough investigation, including comprehensive symptom analysis, health history, functional and pathology testing, and consideration of nutritional and environmental factors. This allows us to take out the guess work and treat the problem not the symptom.
Individualised Approach
Each person is unique, and no treatment is one-size-fits-all. Your plan is personalised to your specific presentation and constitution, so it works with and for you, helping you to reach your health goals.
Customer Testimonials

Google review
I’ve been seeing Rebecca for over a year now after experiencing (Andropause) a steady physical decline beginning in my forties. As a physically active 46 year old man I was constantly injured, recovering from injury or getting sick after strenuous exercise, resulting in muscle loss, weight gain and steadily declining physical performance. But with Rebecca’s knowledge I’m back in the gym and feeling stronger and faster than I was in my thirties…. highly recommended.

Your Naturopathy Questions Answered
How is naturopathy different from conventional medicine?
While conventional health care often focuses only on managing symptoms, naturopathy looks at the bigger picture, working to support your body’s natural ability to heal by identifying and addressing the factors contributing to your symptoms. This can include nutritional guidance, herbal medicine, lifestyle advice, and functional testing to create a personalised treatment plan.
Do I need a referral to see a naturopath?
You don’t need a referral to see us, simply book an appointment at our Alderley clinic or choose an online consultation from the comfort of your home, wherever you are in Australia.
What does the initial consultation involve?
Your first consultation lasts up to an hour and allows us to gain a complete picture of your health. We’ll explore your goals, medical and lifestyle history, nutrition, and any existing test results to uncover what’s influencing your well-being. Based on this, we’ll outline a tailored plan that may include supplements or further testing.
How many sessions do I need?
Usually held 2–4 weeks after your first session, follow-up consultations help track your progress, evaluate any new findings, and fine-tune your treatment approach. The number of visits needed varies based on your health goals and how quickly improvements occur.
Is naturopathy covered by my health insurance?
At this stage, naturopathy isn’t covered by private health insurance in Australia. We recognise that choosing to invest in your health is important, and our goal is to provide individualised, quality care that supports lasting wellness. You can book a complimentary discovery call to see if naturopathy suits your needs.
Is naturopathic treatment evidence-based?
Absolutely. Contemporary naturopathy integrates time-tested natural medicine with the latest scientific research. Treatments, supplements, and lifestyle advice are selected for their safety, evidence base, and suitability for your individual needs.
Can you work with my GP or healthcare team?
Of course. Naturopathy can be used alongside mainstream medicine, and your naturopath can coordinate with your GP or healthcare team to ensure a balanced, holistic approach to your well-being.
Can naturopathy help with chronic health conditions?
Yes. Naturopathy can provide effective, personalised support for many chronic illnesses, including thyroid conditions, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, migraines, and digestive disorders. Our treatment approach focuses on addressing the underlying factors that may be contributing to your condition, while providing support in managing symptoms and improving day-to-day well-being.
I'm on medication. Can I take supplements or herbal remedies as well?
Often, herbal and nutritional supplements can be used safely with prescription medicines, but this depends on the individual. We always check for potential interactions and choose remedies that are compatible with your medications and health needs.
